ANTHONY CORALLO, aka “TONY DUCKS”

ANTHONY CORALLO was the boss of New York’s Lucchese crime family from 1970 to 1985. He got his colorful nickname “Tony Ducks” from his remarkable ability to “duck” charges; from 1941 to 1960 his 12 arrests led to zero convictions.

Shown here from his 1985 arrest for federal racketeering at age 72, Corallo finally caught a charge he couldn’t duck and was sentenced to 100 years in prison, where he died in 2000 at age 87.
